MY VISION FOR THE CHAPEL OF THE HEALING CROSS.

“Where ,there is no vision, the people perish” – Prov.29:18
Vision is the driving force that moves individuals or institutions from the present to a more desirable, prosperous, and fulfiling future. Vision sees possibilities beyond seeming impossibilities. Vision is the limiting factor in untapped opportunities.
The Chapel of The Healing Cross, as it is today, is due to the collective visions of the founding fathers and worshippers over the past three decades. What the Chapel will be tomorrow is dependent on the collective visions of the worshippers and leaders today. The purpose of leadership is to infect and affect the followership with a joint envisioning of a future of great splendour that is driven with possibility and passion, saying together, ‘’yes, we can’’.
My vision for the Chapel of The Healing Cross is defined by the following goals:

1. Deepen The Spirituality of The Members:
   i. There is a need for a continuous evaluation of the impact of various church activities and programmes in order to suggest areas of needful improvements and possible modifications. Various committees and ministry-groups would be encouraged to do the same.
   ii. There will be continual discussions with various stakeholders on progressive issues for robust, Holy Spirit led decisions.
   This, I think, would enable greater efficiency and effectiveness in ministry and worship, thus translating to deeper spirituality for all.
2. Enhance Ministry Discovery, Deployment, and Development:
   i. We shall encourage every member to discover and deploy his/her gifts and calling as an act of worship. To this end, we shall may add more ministry units to the existing ones (as approved by the Chapel Council), bearing in mind that there are three areas of ministry in the Church:
   a) Ministering before the people.
   b) Ministering beside the people.
   c) Ministering behind the people.
   ii. EMMI – Every Member a Minister Initiative (EMMI) shall comprise of holding periodic retreats with members who desire to be part of church ministry, as indicated by questionnaire-based feedback, for the purpose of ministerial alignment.
3. Increase Church Membership And Attendance:
   i. All our services, activities, and meetings shall focus on soul-winning and discipleship, and thus, by God’s grace, will translate into Church growth in membership and attendance.
   ii. We shall continually improve the beauty and aesthetics within and outside the Church auditoria.
   iii. Using every means of evangelism, we shall reach out to those outside the confine of the church.
   iv. Visitation of new members and text messages to first-timers and members on their anniversary days shall be our constancy of action.
4. CHC To Have A Global Presence And Impact:
   i. Live-streaming of our services.
   ii. Being active on social media.
   iii. Church website.

In conclusion, special efforts shall be made towards youth empowerment and students’ repopulation in the Chapel of the Healing Cross. May the counsel of God prosper in our hands in Jesus’ name. Amen.
