Jesus came as the Lamb of God,
To die for the sins of the world,
But rose the third day triumphant
And assume the eternal royalty as the lion of Judah.
The all-conquering lion, assaulting the gate of hell,
To put down all kingdom and power in rebellion to God,
With absolute power and authority over all adversaries,
Exercising all powers in heaven and earth.
The King of Righteousness, the Prince of Peace,
The Firstborn from the dead, the Resurrection and Life,
The Bright and Morning Star, the Sun of Righteousness,
The First and the Last, Emmanuel, God with us.
We worship in affirmation of the supremacy of Jesus,
We sing His praises and flaunt His glory,
Confessing that Jesus is Lord to the praise of the Father
Living daily in triumph, validating the victory of His cross.
Paul and Silas sang the praise of Jesus.
The Philippian jailer and other prisoners heard them.
Jesus came down, breaking every chain and bar.
The jailer witnessed the power of Jesus and got saved.
The jailer heard the praises of Jesus by the apostles.
The hordes of demons heard also and quivered.
People opined their quivering as earthquakes.
Even mountain skip like rams in the presences of the King of kings.
Singing praises of God is not just for angels
It is the convergence of the church, militant and triumphant.
The church triumphant sing in accomplished triumph.
The church militant sing in anticipated triumph.
It is the will of the Father for the son to be honoured.
The dishonor of the son is also of the father
God is glorified in Jesus as Lord of lords and King of kings
The son should be praised and worship to the delight of the Father.
This is only possible by sanctified lived and voices
Sanctified and transformed in the power of the Holy Spirit
Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego made choices in praise of God
They made hard choices, ready to be burnt in the furnace.
God came down and rescued them alive
King Nebuchadnezzar astounded, and in awe of God,
Decreed that peoples and nations must reverence the God of Israel.
He witnessed the presence of the son of God to deliver God’s people.
One of these says Jesus would burst through the sky,
To reign supreme for a thousand years.
The golden age of human and dawn of true enlightenment
As King of kings and Lord of lord, turning sword to plowshare.
We gather today singing the praises of Jesus Christ.
We sing His praises for who He is.
We sing His praise for what he has done.
We sing His praises for what He continues doing in us, and for us.
