"THE WORKINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: John 16:8-11(And when he comes, he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.)

Sunday School Newsletter – September

September was a truly remarkable month in our Sunday School. Week after week, the children were built up in the Word, prayer, and joyful fellowship. From deep teachings to vibrant worship and a glorious Harvest, it was a month filled with grace and growth.

Sunday, September 7 – BISAPP

We began the month with our usual BISAPP session. The topic was The First Adam and the Last Adam with the text from 1 Corinthians 15:45-49.

Our memory verse, Romans 5:17, reminded us of the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness through Jesus Christ, the Last Adam. The children were taught the contrast between Adam, who brought sin, and Christ, who brought eternal life.

Sunday, September 14 – Prayer and Praise Session

This was a beautiful day of worship led by Mrs. Toyin Ogungbesan, who spoke on The Purpose of Worship. Our texts were 1 Chronicles 29:10-12, Daniel 6:26-27, and Romans 11:36.

The memory verse, Psalm 29:2, called us to ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name and worship Him in the splendor of His holiness. It was a powerful reminder that worship is not just about singing but about acknowledging God’s greatness and surrendering to Him fully.

Sunday, September 21 – Third Quarter Quiz

This was our big quiz day, and the children came prepared! Each class answered questions from past lessons, testing their knowledge of the Scriptures and memory verses.

The key text was 2 Timothy 3:16, reminding us that “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness.”

The memory verse, Romans 12:2, challenged us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. It was both exciting and encouraging to see how much the children have learned and retained.

Sunday, September 28 – Children’s Harvest

What a glorious day! The theme of the harvest was Our Children Are for Signs and Wonders (Isaiah 8:18). The children joined the adults in the main service and celebrated God’s goodness with thanksgiving.

They brought fruits as symbols of harvest, which were joyfully shared with their parents. The service was filled with singing, dancing, and special presentations from the children. One of the highlights was the dramatic presentation of powerful declarations of who they are in Christ — light, healers, truth-tellers, leaders, and wonders. Truly, it was a day to remember as the children boldly proclaimed their God-given identities.

We thank God for a successful Children’s Harvest and for His mercies throughout September.

Looking Ahead to October

As we step into a new month, we do so with great expectation. More learning, more worship, and more growth await our children. May the Lord continue to strengthen every teacher, parent, and child, and may His Word remain rooted in their hearts

With love,
