"THE WORKINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: John 16:8-11(And when he comes, he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.)

Who Is This Jesus?

Who is this Jesus, spoken in wonder and flame,
Whose voice stirred the waters, whose word stills the same?
And demon quiver at the sound of his name?

Who walked among sinners yet carried no stain,
Who bore all our sorrows, our guilt, and our pain?
Who dispersed an execution mob, setting free the victim physically and spiritually?

Is He not the Bread when our spirits are dry?
The Light in the Darkness no shadow can hide?
The Door ever open to hearts that believe,
The Vine where the weary find life to receive?

Who is this Jesus, the Shepherd so true,
Who calls every lost soul and brings them back through?
The Way for the wanderer, lost in the night,
The Truth unchanging, the Life and the Light?

Is He not Emmanuel, God drawing near,
The Lamb that was slain, yet conquering fear?
The Son of the Highest, the Christ long foretold,
The King crowned with glory, more precious than gold?

Who is this Jesus, in prophecy named,
Wonderful Counselor, forever proclaimed?
The Mighty God reigning, the Prince bringing peace,
The Man of all sorrows whose mercies increase?

Yet some called Him blasphemer, mocked Him in scorn,
A carpenter’s son, despised and forlorn.
They crowned Him with thorns, cried, “King” in disgrace,
Not knowing the glory concealed in His face.

Thomas discarded his doubt and exclaimed in adoration “my Lord abd my, God”
The centurion wacthed him die and declared: “truly this was the Son of God”

He descended to hades and swallowed up death in victory.
He rose from death and led captivity captive and offered salvation to man.

Who is this Jesus? The Alpha, the End,
The Firstborn from death, the sinner’s true Friend.
The Lion of Judah, victorious and strong,
The song of redemption, heaven’s own song.

So who is this Jesus? The question still cries,
Through ages and nations, through earth and the skies.
To some a deceiver, to others, the King
To those who believe, He is everything.

Then answer, O heart, let your confession be clear:
Who is this Jesus to you?
It truly you know him, proclaim him to the world,
The fate of humanity for heaven or hell, liberty or bondage hangs on this.
Who is He to thee?
