End of Month Sunday School Newsletter – June 2026
Dear Sunday School Family,
Greetings in the wonderful name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!
We thank God for His faithfulness throughout the month of June. It was another enriching month as we continued learning about the many benefits of God’s covenant and celebrated the remarkable legacy of our Sunday School during its 69th Anniversary. Through Bible study, worship, fellowship, and celebration, our children were reminded that God’s covenant is sure, enduring, and extends from one generation to another.
Our June Journey
June was filled with opportunities for spiritual growth and joyful fellowship. We continued our study on the benefits of God’s covenant, explored practical Christian character through our BISAPP and Round Table sessions, and concluded the month with a memorable celebration of our 69th Sunday School Anniversary. Each lesson reminded us that God’s promises are dependable and that His covenant provides guidance, protection, peace, and lasting joy.
What We Learned This Month
On Sunday, June 7th, we held our monthly BISAPP (Bible Study and Prayer Project). Auntie Chika ministered on the topic “Circumcision: The Impact and Implications” with Romans 2:29 as the memory verse. The children learned that true circumcision is not merely an outward act but a matter of the heart. They were taught that God desires inward transformation, sincere obedience, and lives that reflect His covenant. Following BISAPP, we also had our Countable session, where the children enjoyed fellowship and engaging activities together.
Our Round Table Discussion for the month focused on “Jealousy.” The children discussed the dangers of jealousy, how it affects our relationships with others, and the importance of celebrating God’s blessings in one another’s lives. They were encouraged to cultivate love, contentment, and gratitude instead of comparison and envy.
On Sunday, June 14th, Auntie Oge taught on the topic “Protection and Provision.” Our memory verse was 2 Thessalonians 3:3. The children learned that one of the great benefits of God’s covenant is His unfailing protection and faithful provision. They were reminded that God watches over His children, provides for their needs, and remains faithful even during difficult times. This lesson encouraged them to place their trust completely in God’s care.
On Sunday, June 21st, Auntie Lily ministered on “Peace and Joy.” The memory verse for the day was Romans 15:13a. The children discovered that true peace and lasting joy come from God alone. As beneficiaries of God’s covenant, believers can experience inner peace regardless of life’s circumstances because their hope is firmly anchored in Christ. They were encouraged to remain joyful, trust God’s promises, and share His peace with others.
On Sunday, June 28th, we joyfully celebrated the 69th Sunday School Anniversary. It was a memorable occasion as we joined the adult congregation during the main church service to thank God for His faithfulness over the years.
As part of the celebration, the choir and the Sunday School presented beautiful performances centered on our current central theme, “God of Covenant.” The presentations reflected God’s enduring faithfulness across generations and highlighted the importance of remaining steadfast in our covenant relationship with Him. The celebration concluded with a joyful reception where teachers, children, parents, and friends shared moments of fellowship and thanksgiving together. We are grateful to God for preserving our Sunday School for sixty-nine years and pray for many more years of fruitful ministry.
Looking Ahead to July
We are excited about the activities planned for July. One of the highlights will be our Children’s Mission, scheduled for Saturday, 25th July and Sunday, 26th July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The theme is “A Heart That Acknowledges God as Being Praiseworthy,” with the text taken from Romans 1:20–21. We encourage all our children to participate actively as we learn more about giving God the praise He deserves.
Preparations are also underway for our Annual Camp coming up in August 2026. We encourage parents and guardians to begin making the necessary arrangements. For enquiries about the camp, please see Auntie Teni or Uncle Dipo.
A Word of Encouragement
As we reflect on the month of June, we are reminded that God’s covenant is a source of strength, hope, protection, provision, peace, and joy. His faithfulness has sustained our Sunday School for sixty-nine wonderful years, and we remain confident that He will continue to guide future generations.
May we continue to nurture hearts that trust God completely, celebrate His faithfulness, and remain steadfast in His covenant.
May God richly bless every child, parent, teacher, and friend of our Sunday School.
Stay blessed and remain rooted in God’s covenant!
