Grant, O merciful God, that Your church, being gathered by the Holy Spirit into one, may show forth Your power among all peoples to the glory of Your name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
CHURCH TRIUMPHANT
Those who have died in Christ and are regarded as enjoying eternal happiness through union with God, the people who have triumphed over evil and the enemies of Christ and have overcome and are now wearing the robe of victory because they are now resting from their labours (Rev. 21:4)
It is good to us to think of them. Their glory is a testimony that the victory is also ours and at the end we shall be where they are also and shall rest in them in glory. What a great day that will be! In the sure hope of that coming day, by the assurance of God by the blood of the lamb and ruler, and by the sovereign work of the spirit we should persevere and pray while they rest, we will join them at the end of age. Amen.
