Chapel of the Healing Cross – Growing, Witnessing, Celebrating!
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Precious Children,
What an amazing and spirit-filled month April has been for our Sunday School! From learning about sharing the Good News, to celebrating Easter, and lifting our voices in worship, this month was packed with meaningful activities and beautiful memories. Here’s a look back at everything we experienced together:
6th April – Preaching: “Methods of Witnessing”
Text: John 4:19–24, 28–30, 39–42
Memory Verse: Matthew 28:19
We kicked off the month learning about the different methods of witnessing for Christ.
- The children learned how important it is to share the love of Jesus through our words, actions, and kindness to others.
- We explored the story of the Samaritan woman and how she witnessed to her whole town after meeting Jesus.
- The children memorized Matthew 28:19, understanding that Jesus calls each of us to “Go and make disciples of all nations.”
It was so encouraging to see their eagerness to be little witnesses for Jesus in their schools, homes, and neighborhoods! 🌟
13th April – Palm Sunday: Praise Walk to LUTH
Palm Sunday was extra special this year!
- All children above 8 years old went on a journey to LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital), where they sang praises, lifted up prayers at different locations, and spread the joy of Christ with their voices.
- It was a touching experience, watching the children boldly declare the name of Jesus to all who heard.
We truly celebrated Jesus’ triumphant entry by spreading His love beyond the walls of the church! 🌿🎶
20th April – Easter Sunday Celebration
Easter Sunday was a glorious day as we joined the rest of the congregation for the main service in the Chapel.
- Together, we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and Savior with hearts full of joy and thanksgiving!
- The children witnessed the importance of Easter — that Jesus is alive, and because He lives, we have hope and eternal life! ✝️✨
27th April – Cherub Choir at the Easter Concert
Our precious Cherub Choir had a very special role to play at the Easter Concert!
- Their angelic voices filled the air with songs of celebration.
- It was such a proud and emotional moment seeing the children worship so beautifully.
- Many parents and church members were moved and inspired by their performance. 🎶❤️
A big thank you to all the choir members and their supportive parents — you made the day truly unforgettable!

Children’s Day Celebration – May 25th
Get ready for an exciting Children’s Day!
- On Sunday, May 25th, our children will lead the Sunday School service!
- They will also preach, pray, and minister – all led by the young voices God is raising!
Parents, please encourage your children as they prepare for this special day. It’s going to be a time of great joy, celebration, and spiritual growth!

Dear Father,
Thank You for all the wonderful experiences we had in April. Thank You for teaching us, helping us to witness for You, and filling our hearts with Your love. Bless our children, strengthen their faith, and prepare their hearts for greater things in May and beyond. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
