"THE WORKINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: John 16:8-11(And when he comes, he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.)

July 2025 Sunday School Newsletter

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Beloved Sunday School Family,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! July was a spiritually rich and eventful month in Sunday School. From powerful teachings to our highly anticipated Children’s Mission, the Lord’s hand was evident in every gathering. Here’s a look back at what we experienced together:

July 6 – Bible Study & Prayer Project (BISAPP)

We kicked off the month with another BISAPP session, where our focus was on “The Weapons of Our Warfare.”

Text: 2 Corinthians 10:3–5

Memory Verse: John 16:33

The children learned about the powerful spiritual weapons God has given us to fight and overcome challenges in our daily lives.

July 13 – What Should I Pray About?

Continuing in our sub-theme on prayer, we explored the topic “What Should I Pray About?”

Text: James 5:13–18

Memory Verse: 1 Timothy 2:1

This session helped the children understand that God wants us to talk to Him about everything—our joys, our troubles, our needs, and even the needs of others.

July 20 – How to Pray

This week, we focused on “How to Pray.”

Texts: Matthew 6:5–13; Jeremiah 29:12–13

Memory Verse: Philippians 4:6

The children were taught the heart posture and sincerity needed in prayer, using Jesus’ model prayer as a guide. It was a very practical and impactful teaching.

July 26 – Children’s Mission (Day One)

Saturday brought the long-awaited Children’s Mission with the theme: “This Good News Shall Be Preached.”

Text: Matthew 24:14

Our guest missioners, Dr. George and Dr. (Mrs.) Chidinma Onyejekwe, led the children through a vibrant and engaging session. There were activities, worship, and powerful Gospel messages tailored for young hearts.

July 27 – Children’s Mission (Day Two)

The mission continued into Sunday as we wrapped up the weekend with joyful praise, reflection, and a renewed passion for sharing the Good News. It was a beautiful way to round off such an impactful spiritual event.

Looking Ahead

August is filled with exciting opportunities for growth, learning, and fun in the Lord:

  • Fellowship of Light Quiz – Saturday, August 2nd. Our children will be participating, and we look forward to a great outing.
  • Sunday School Holiday Camp – August 10th–17th.

This is one of our biggest yearly highlights, and it promises to be an amazing time of fun, learning, and spiritual enrichment.

If you’d like your child to attend, please contact Uncle Ehis or Aunty Chika for more information.

Thank you for walking with us in this beautiful journey of raising godly children. We are always encouraged by your support, your prayers, and the presence of your children in every activity.

With love,

Your Sunday School Team
