“So it was that the beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.”
(Luke 16:22)
The poor man, Lazarus, was carried. Why? Because he was quite light weight.
No titles, no wealth and no load of sin,
Since Jesus had carried it for him on the cross.
Contrawise, the rich man was so, so heavy.
In fact, he was too heavy for the angels to carry him.
Why was he buried?
He was buried because that is all that men could do.
Men like burying, men specialise in burying.
Men like to bury other people's potentials, Successes, destinies, happiness etc.
Only angels carry, enhance, and assist.
The rich man lived to impress men,
With his wasteful and opulent lifestyle.
Though they sang his praise while alive,
They feared him, envied him, slandered him,
And hated him secretly in their hearts.
So, at his death, they joyfully and triumphantly buried him,
And devided his properties and his hoarded wealth amongst themselves.
And when they were through with burying him,
They waited eagerly, looking for another "rich man" to bury.
Preferably heirless.
It is better to walk with angels, than with men,
Whether you are rich or poor.
Oh, friends refrain from hoarding.
Stop counting on self-serving, greedy, friendly friends.
