"THE WORKINGS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: John 16:8-11(And when he comes, he will convince the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more; concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.)

THE CHAPEL OF THE HEALING CROSS

End of Month Sunday School Newsletter – April 2026

Dear Sunday School Family

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ! What a glorious and spirit-filled month April has been! We truly rejoice in the victory of Christ and the continued revelation of God’s covenant faithfulness to His people. From celebrating the resurrection of our Lord to learning about His everlasting covenants with mankind, God has continued to teach, shape, and bless us richly as a Sunday School family.

Our April Journey

April was a month of deep reflection and joyful celebration. We began the month with the triumphant celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and continued to explore the beautiful truth of God’s covenants with His people. Through worship, teaching, and fellowship, our children were reminded that God is faithful, His promises are sure, and His love is everlasting.

What We Learned This Month

On Sunday, April 5th, we celebrated Easter Sunday in a combined service at the main chapel. It was a powerful time of worship as we rejoiced in the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The children were reminded that Jesus conquered death, sin, and the grave, and through His resurrection, we have new life, hope, and victory. Truly, Christ is risen indeed!

On Sunday, April 12th, we continued the Easter celebration with a beautiful Easter Cantata Concert, also held as a combined service in the main chapel. It was a glorious expression of worship through music and drama. A special highlight was the performance of the Cherub Choir of the Sunday School, whose voices ministered beautifully in praise to God. It was indeed a joyful reminder of the resurrection power of Christ and the unity of the body of Christ in worship.

On Sunday, April 19th, we continued with our sub-theme “Types of Covenant”, focusing on the topic “The Davidic Covenant.” The text was taken from 2 Samuel 7:11b–16, and Aunty Amaka ministered to us. Our memory verse, 2 Samuel 7:25, reminded us of God’s covenant promise to establish David’s throne forever. The children learned that God is a covenant-keeping God who establishes His promises from generation to generation. Through David, we saw how God’s plan points ultimately to Jesus Christ, the eternal King.

On Sunday, April 26th, we concluded the month’s teaching on covenants with the topic “The New Covenant.” Aunty Tomi ministered from Jeremiah 31:31, 34; Ezekiel 36:24–28; and Luke 22:15–20. Our memory verse was Jeremiah 32:40. The children learned that the New Covenant was established through the blood of Jesus Christ, bringing forgiveness of sins, a new heart, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. They were reminded that through Jesus, we now have direct access to God and are made new in Him.

Looking Ahead to May

We look forward to the month of May as we prepare for our Children’s Day Celebration on the 27th of May. We will also begin a new sub-theme.

A Word of Encouragement

April has reminded us that Jesus is alive and God is faithful to His covenants. May we continue to walk in His truth and love.
