WE THANK GOD YOU ARE HERE

With the proliferation of churches,
And the convenience mentality so rife,
Wading through chaotic traffic enroute here,
We thank God you are here.

With people growing in knowledge and expectation,
With people exposed to competing options,
The best possible spiritual menu deserving,
We thank God you are here.

You are here to pray and supplicate.
God’s loving kindness and Grace are here,
Pour your hearts to Him in Expectation.
We thank God He is here.

Coming to hear from God is paramount.
Come with expectant curiosity, yearning for more.
Come early, come with jotters, come receptive,
Praying that Truth will take root for Faith to blossom.

We may ask for your money,
Yet we care much more for your souls.
Giving in support of God’s kingdom and the needy,
We thank God you are here.

So we are here to hear from God.
So we are here to pray to God.
So we are here to give to God.
For these three, we thank God you are here.

Not mining for gold, heaven at last is our goal.
Not feathering vanity caps in carnal pomposity,
We labour in word and prayer for spiritual maturation,
Helping and serving God and one another in humility.

Tell others that are still straying,
That there is water fresh and pasture green,
That it is good to be here.
Then we thank God double that you are here.
